Fan v/s Follower

Salman Khan , Narendra Modi and Engineering

Who do you voted for ?

 “ Narendra Modi !!! “ 

Why? 

Because he is a great person , sleeps less than 4 hours a day and has done lot of good work. He is our GOD.

Which actor do you like the most ? 

“ Salman Khan”

Why ?

Because he is good looking , a good human being ,does lot of social work. He is my GOD

What do you want to become in life ?

 “ Engineer “ 

Why ?

 Hmmm , I don’t know , everybody wants that

 .

I am basically asking this question to myself , and suddenly I realized something . What is common in Narendra Modi , Salman Khan and Engineering ? They have a huge fan base.

If someone asks me do they have such great no. of followers also ?I will answer " well… what is the difference" ?

I am a follower of Swami  Vivekanand , I admire his work , his abilities , but at the same time I don’t like his smoking skills.

If I would have been a fan of Swami Vivekanand , I won’t be criticizing his smoking habit , infact I would have started smoking myself , claiming that everybody is free to do whatever he likes.

Do I think Narendra Modi is perfect , NO. Would I accept that , the answer is no again .Infact I would go to any heights to defend him.

I also don’t feel that Salman Khan is the greatest actor , but I will fight with this world till the time everybody accepts him as a great actor. 

I am 100% sure there are immense opportunities and career path other than engineering , but at the same time I have thousands of points to justify engineering as the best career choice.

You know why I behave so stupid , because I am a fan not a follower .Modi , Salman and engineering are GODLY things for me , which cannot be questioned or doubted and the funny thing is that I am not the only one , there is a huge brigade which behaves in the same way.

How it works ?

Before creating a fan base it is important to create a hero .

Who creates a hero ?

The biggest Mirage manufactures in our county “ The media house “. They do this in a very meticulously designed process in which very slowly and steadily we are made to believe that Mr.Modi is the only hope left for humanity to survive , Salman Khan is the only macho left in this planet and if you don’t do engineering you will end up washing dishes .

What they don’t tell is that Mr.Modi was born on 17th Sept 1950 , Salman Khan was born on 27th Dec 1965 and as per google oldest engineering college was opened somewhere in morocco at around 859 AD , while the existence  of humanity is much more .Modi , Salman and Engineering

 are just chapters in the book called Humanity , though very important and meaningful chapters .

What is the problem in being a fan and not a follower ?

Being a fan makes you believe in magic and super natural things , one of the most common being , staying in a country with close  to 100 crore hindus and living in fear that Hinduism is in danger or having more than 260 registered courses , but end up studying engineering and finally the best one Salman Khan inaugurating a driving school ( just kidding ).

Believe me I am saying this with 100% conviction that Narendra Modi is the best politician of our country , but he is not perfect . Salman Khan is the best entertainer of our country but not the best actor and  having an engineering degree in  your resume is one of the safest and easiest option to get a job in India but still there are hundreds of career options available apart from engineering and not doing engineering is absolutely Ok.

Let’s be a follower , not a fan , let’s be critical of what we don’t like , because every time you point out mistakes ,  your idle will correct it and will improve himself.

If you want your trees to grow longer and look beautiful you have to prune them time to time.

So let’s be critical , be positive , be a follower and not blind , orthodox and a fan.
